Re: Help With 3Way Valve Sizing
You can use gas control valve calculator and also find more information on theory page for gas control valves

Re: Help! Pipe Sizing Calculation
If I understand you correctly, you have total of 861 gph. If you assume 1m/s which is OK for water flow, than you are right that 1.4 inch ID is good, but it should be checked with pressure drop also. What is height difference between pipe inlet where you have 45 psi and pipe outlet to atmosphere? Wh...

Re: sizing of gas pipe for domestic installation
390 MJ/h = 108 kW = 11 m3/h (depending on gas quality). If gauge pressure is 22 mbar, velocity 5 m/s internal pipe diameter should be 28.36 mm, which is 1" pipe. Pressure drop for 70 m pipe is 7 mbar which about 30% of available gauge pressure and I think it is ok too, but with 5/4" pipe y...

Re: sizing of gas pipe for domestic installation
Is it natural gas? Pressure is required for calculation.

Re: Gas Flow through an orifice
You can use orifice plate calculator for this calculation Here is report that I get from it: Orifice plate calculator 1. tube diameter (D1): D1 : 1 in 2. orifice diameter (D2): D2 : 0.262 in 3. pressure in front of orifice (p1): p1 : 13.5 inWS 4. pressure after orifice (p2): p2 : 1993.3918 Pa 5. pre...

Re: Equivalent Pipe Length of Water to Air Heat Exchanger
You can calculate like it is one straight pipe and sum all bends in one.

Re: Equivalent Pipe Length of Water to Air Heat Exchanger
You should use resistance factor calculator . Also you should know R/D ratio as it influence resistance very much. I suggest you to use top left where n is the total number of bends which is in your case 2x44=88 pcs of 90 deg, K=25.87 if R/D = 1. Once you have K, equivalent length is calculated as K...

Re: High pressure tank discharge rate calculation
Calculator for gas discharge is under development and will be available soon. But your problem is calling for non-steady flow calculation which is another kind of problem. Here are results for 1000 psi 3/4" orifice discharge (chocked flow): 1. pressure in position 1 (p1): p1 : 1000 psi 2. press...

Re: Maximum Acheivable Air Flowrate in a Discharge Line
I am at the moment working on one that will be for this purpose - gas discharge and I hope to finish it in following weeks. Here are results based on your data: 1. pressure in position 1 (p1): p1 : 2101325.0 Pa 2. pressure in position 2 (p2): p2 : 101325.0 Pa 3. pressure drop (p1-p2): p1-p2 : 200000...
