Flow Coefficient Cv vs. minor loss coefficient K

I am doing a system design calculation for pressure drop and flow rate. The text book treatment of valve contribution to pressure drop is that it is a minor loss with a "loss coeffient" factor K. But valve performance published data is for Cv or Kv "flow coeffient". Loss coefficient K is not the same thing as flow coeffient Cv or Kv or is it? How do you apply flow coefficient Cv or Kv with the Bernoulli equation? Or is there some relationship between K, Cv, and Kv?

K and Kv are not the same.
Kv is flow rate of water through valve that creates pressure drop of 1 bar. You can find more flow coefficient theory here.
